The Old Hall Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic based in Gatley, South Manchester, providing a range of treatments, including osteopathy, cranial osteopathy, sports osteopathy and paediatric osteopathy, which help the body maintain and repair itself from life’s stresses and strains.
The clinic was founded by Philip Owen D.O., B.Sc.(Hons), a highly experienced and renowned osteopath, also a specialist paediatric cranial osteopath. Phiilp Owen is also the Inventor of the ‘SleepCurve’ range of infant mattress products for the effective treatment of flat head syndrome.
Philip qualified from the British School of Osteopathy, London in 1979. He developed his osteopathic practice in Manchester and shortly after ‘The Old Hall Clinic’ was created in Gatley, Cheshire, a multidisciplinary practice, believed to be the first of it’s kind in the UK.
The Old Hall Clinic is proud to say that it enjoys looking after a variety of patients, not just common musculoskeletal problems, such as aches and pains in joints and muscles, but also a number of professional sportsmen and women, often as a preventative measure, as well as offering services to the very young and infants.

Old Hall Clinic provides alternative therapy treatments for self-paying patients, and patients wishing to pay through the major private medical insurance companies (PMI). e.g. BUPA, AXAPPP, AVIVA, WPA – to name but a few.

Before booking for an appointment, please check the therapist is registered with your private medical insurance company, as not all therapists are registered with all insurance companies.
Patients are asked to check with their insurance company if a letter of referral is required by the GP before booking an appointment. Insurance Companies sometimes ask for a claims form to be completed by either the therapist or the GP. Please note GP’s usually charge a fee for this.
