Rebecca graduated form Manchester University with a physiotherapy degree in 2000. She has recently studied at Masters level in Extended Proficiencies and Injection Therapy.
Since qualifying she has worked at Withington, Wythenshawe and Hope hospitals gaining experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, neurosurgery, elderly, orthopaedics and acupuncture. She has been working in the private sector for 8 years and is happy to be part of Gatley Physiotherapy Clinic.
Her job has rapidly progressed primarily through the NHS. Rebecca has had specialist training within the NHS to manage upper limb problems especially shoulder conditions as an Extended Scope Physiotherapist. She works privately and in the NHS with Manchester’s finest upper limb surgeons to use the latest evidence based physiotherapy techniques to rehabilitate her patients to their optimum function whether it is sport, manual work or any hobby.
Rebecca also treats all other musculoskeletal conditions such as whiplash, back pain, arthritis and sports injuries using exercise, core stability, mobilisation, acupuncture, massage and electrotherapy. She believes that patients respond to treatment by allowing patients to understand of their problems.
Her passion in dance has given her over 20 years of experience, both performing and teaching and she enjoys treating dancers of all abilities from school children to professional ballerinas to pop artists.
